At Planetary Resources, Mr. Lewicki is responsible for the strategic development of the company’s mission and vision, engagement with
customers and the scientific community, serves as technical compass, and leads day to day operations.
•The first technology demonstration satellite named Arkyd-3 was launched from Cape Canaveral in 2015. It was then deployed from the
International Space station out of orbit into space.
•Planetary Resources heavily encourages commercial exploration as well as utilization of resources found on asteroids. They
successfully lobbied for the passage of the U.S. Commercial Space Launch Competitiveness Act which recognizes the right of U.S. citizens to own asteroid resources they can
•In 2016, Planetary Resources created a partnership with the government of Luxembourg.
•In 2018 Planetary Resources launched Arkyd-6. This satellite's main goal is to detect water resources in
space and is the first deep space resource exploration plan.
Two major events in 2018:
•Failed to close a round of funding
•Forcing company layoffs.
•Acquired by ConsenSys working under the name of Planetary Resources.
•Hopes to achieve the same goals with Arkyd-301, asteroid mining, and outer-space water research.
