This is a story about 4 people… Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody did what Anybody could have.

 

 

STAGES OF GRIEF

- Denial

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

 

DEFENSE MECHANISMS

Compensation – making up for weakness in one area

Daydreaming – imagining pleasant things

Denial – refusing to accept reality

Displacement – shifting from one to another

Idealization – copying someone you think highly of

Projection – seeing your faults or feelings in someone else

Rationalization – making excuses for or justifying behavior

Regression – reacting in a childlike or immature manner

Repression – blocking out painful thoughts/feelings

Sublimation – redirect negative into positive behavior

 

 

EUSTRESS

- A positive stress that energizes one and helps one reach a goal

- Makes you feel alert and lively

- You will appear confident and in control

 

Managing Emotions 

- Sing/play a musical instrument

- Write down how you feel

- Talk to a friend

- Exercise/ play a sport

- Let go of what you can’t control

- Draw/paint a picture
