World View

Emerging Stratospheric balloon testing company
Seeking to provide affordable near space experiences for private investors
Composed of experts in high altitude ballooning and a team of retired NASA Astronauts
Established in Tucson, AZ in October of 2013

“World View® is pioneering a new frontier at the edge of space and leading the way in the emerging stratospheric economy.”

As an active, full-service commercial launch provider, World View is opening up new possibilities for commercial customers around the world
Hold the current world record for highest human balloon flight

Before the first Rocket Launch by the US in 1961, scientists experimented with High Altitude Balloons to test the physiological aspects of the human body with regards to Space
In addition, high-altitude balloons have been used to study deep space astrophysics, and to make important Earth Observations
Because of this World View wants to offer commercial balloon flights to altitudes exceeding 100,000 feet for research and leisure uses

World View was founded and incorporated in 2012 by a team of aerospace and life support veterans, including Biosphere 2 crew-members Jane Poynter and Taber MacCallum, Dr. Alan Stern (the principal investigator of the New Horizons mission to Pluto), and former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly
