Reiki

Reiki is a complementary healing practice that uses a person's hands to deliver energy to the body, based on the belief that it promotes healing and relaxation. 

A practitioner places their hands lightly on or above a person to direct energy, which can result in feelings of deep relaxation, stress reduction, and a sense of well-being. 

While some studies suggest potential benefits for pain, anxiety, and fatigue, particularly in cancer patients, the existence of the energy field is not scientifically proven, and high-quality research on the effectiveness of Reiki is limited and inconsistent.

BLOATING - Difficulty processing life experiences

When emotions or thoughts cannot be "digested," the body may retain pressure, air, or fluid as a symbolic response.

Emotions: worry, overthinking, suppressed anger, or frustration

Symptoms: tightness or pressure in the abdomen, excessive gas

Inner message of the body: "I am holding something that I have not fully processed."

This often happens when someone is mentally replaying situations, conversations, or decisions. The body mirrors this by holding food and air instead of digesting smoothly. 

 

LARGE INTESTINE - Emotions stored within

Emotions: Grief, difficulty letting go, unhealthy attachments

Symptoms: Constipation or diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, skin issues (dryness or redness)

Foods that promote letting go of grief: pungent spices like ginger, garlic, mustard, onions - fermented foods like kimchi, miso, sauerkraut

Affirmation: "I release what no longer serves me. I embrace the healing power of letting go, making space for peace and renewal."

 

HEART - Emotions stored within

Emotions: Joy, sadness, suffering, anguish, betrayal, excitement, grief

Symptoms: Palpitations, chest pain, sleep issues, fatigue, heartburn, acid reflux, high blood pressure, shortness of breath

Nourishing foods: Avocados, berries, walnuts, leafy greens

Affirmation: "I release all emotions that no longer serve me, and my heart is open to healing, love, and peace."

 

BRAIN - Emotions stored within

Emotions: Anxiety, depression, overthinking, anger

Symptoms: Forgetfulness, dissociation, migraines, mental fog, mental fatigue, cognitive decline, poor concentration, emotional numbness

Symptoms: Frequent urination, lower back pain, pain in the pelvic area, cold sensations in the lower body, difficulty letting go of trauma, feeling insecure

Nourishing foods: black beans, seaweed, watermelon, cucumber, cranberry, celery, parsley, asparagus, lentils

Affirmation: "I release fear and insecurity. I trust in the flow of life and allow myself to let go of what no longer serves me."

 

BONES - Emotions stored within

Emotions: Fear, insecurity, grief, loneliness

Symptoms: Chronic back pain, joint pain, stiffness, osteoporosis, brittle nails, brittle teeth, stiff neck, leg weakness

Nourishing foods: Black sesame seeds, goji berries, walnuts, spinach, pearl powder, chinese red dates, seaweed, carrots, sesame seeds

Affirmation: "I release all fear, insecurity, and grief stored in my bones. I embrace strength, stability, and vitality in my body."
