The Wheel of Life is a great exercise and tool for helping you create more balance and success in your life. It is often used in coaching and is a great foundation exercise when goal-setting. Below, you can download the free wheel of life template which is used by more than 3,000 people every month.
I suggest you fill in a self-assessment # (from 1 to 10) for each of the pieces of the wheel. Feel free to change out some of the sector labels (such as the “romance” label if you aren’t worried about that in your life) with a more professional or personal focus area (like “entrepreneurial endeavors”).
After this, pick two areas that you want to focus on improving in your life-balance this academic year. Be sure to outline a SMART goal you would like to achieve in at least 2 areas of the wheel.
Coaching is not the same as mentoring...
Coaching involves asking the right questions.... try asking questions for 10 minutes without divulging anything from your own life ...
